We stayed at Sun Outdoors Sugarloaf Key in January through February and had an incredible experience. The weather was perfect, with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. However, if you’re planning to drive in with a large rig, be mindful of the wind, especially when crossing bridges like the famous Seven Mile Bridge—it can get strong this time of year.

We had a pull-through site, which was convenient for pulling in, but we did have to back out when leaving. The sites at this resort are quite tight, and the property can be difficult to navigate if you have a larger setup like our 42-foot fifth wheel and F450. Despite this, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making check-in and setup as smooth as possible.

We had a fantastic time at Sun Outdoors Sugarloaf Key RV Park. While the tight spaces and tricky navigation might be challenging for larger rigs, the friendly staff, well-maintained amenities, and unbeatable location more than makeup for it.
