One of the biggest reasons we enjoyed staying at Montana Basecamp RV Resort was its location.
The resort is just 10 minutes from Kalispell, making it easy to grab groceries, fuel up, enjoy local restaurants, or do a little shopping between adventures.
Planning a trip to Glacier National Park? The west entrance is about 35-40 minutes away, making Montana Basecamp a convenient alternative to staying in the busier (and often more expensive) areas closer to the park.
You’re also only about 10 minutes from Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, and roughly 50 minutes from Polson, making day trips easy.
For us, it struck the perfect balance: close enough to everything we wanted to see, but far enough away to enjoy a quieter, more relaxed RV camping experience.

One thing we noticed immediately after arriving was how much space there was between sites.
The RV sites are wide, well-maintained, and easy to access, which we always appreciate when traveling with a larger rig. Nothing felt cramped or crowded, and there was plenty of room to relax outside and enjoy the surroundings.

Montana Basecamp does an excellent job here. The laundry room was clean and well-maintained, and the bathhouses were some of the nicest we’ve seen during our travels. Everything felt cared for and regularly maintained.
The same attention to detail extends throughout the property. From the sites to the common areas, the resort has a clean, welcoming feel that makes your stay more enjoyable.

What really made Montana Basecamp stand out wasn’t just the RV sites or the location—it was how easy it was to enjoy the area without constantly getting in the truck.
The resort sits right next to a 30+ mile paved bike path, making it easy to get out for a ride and take in the scenery. There’s also a river nearby, adding to the property’s peaceful feel.
After a day exploring Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, or Kalispell, it was nice coming back to a place that felt relaxed and uncrowded. We had easy access to everything we wanted to do, but still felt removed from the traffic and hustle of the more tourist-heavy areas.
For us, Montana Basecamp struck a balance that’s hard to find: convenient, scenic, and comfortable without feeling overly busy or commercialized.
