On our recent trip through West Texas, we stayed at Hill Top RV Resort in Fort Stockton, and it turned out to be a great stop. With its peaceful desert views, thoughtful amenities, and convenient location, it’s a perfect place to recharge on the road.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made everything so easy. They didn’t just check us in—they guided us to our site, helped us park, and made sure we were all set up. The personal attention really stood out.

All the sites here are pull-thru, which made parking a breeze, even with a big rig. The sites are spacious, with full-service hookups and a picnic table at each spot. Hill Top RV Resort offers a lot of amenities that we appreciated during our stay:

The resort is just a one-minute drive from Fort Stockton’s main shopping and dining area. During our stay, we made a quick trip to Walmart, which was super convenient. While there isn’t a lot of shopping in town, having essentials nearby was really helpful. The easy access to Interstate 10 also makes this park an excellent stop for anyone traveling through the area.

We didn’t get the chance to explore much of Fort Stockton, but if you’re looking for activities, there are a few options to check out:

  • Paisano Pete – Snap a photo with the iconic roadrunner statue, one of the largest in the world.
  • Historic Fort Stockton Museum – Learn about the area’s military and frontier history.

Our stay at Hill Top RV Resort was quiet, relaxing, and convenient. The amenities were excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the desert setting provided beautiful views, especially at sunset. While Fort Stockton isn’t a bustling hub of activity, this RV park is a great place to stop and recharge.

Whether you’re passing through on Interstate 10 or planning a longer stay, Hill Top RV Resort is a solid choice. We’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped RV park.
