CONVENT, La. -- Mark Anderson is converting a former FEMA trailer park in Convent into the Sugar Hill RV Resort. A recreational vehicle resort that was originally aimed at luring RV enthusiasts is instead providing much-needed housing to industrial workers in the River Parishes.

RAPID CITY, S.D. -- In about a week, Custer State Park should reach the total amount of traffic it saw for all of 2008. The park had a record number of vehicles for September, the fifth consecutive record month this year, according to Craig Pugsley, visitor services coordinator for the park.

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. -- Visitors to Waynesville’s RV park could see a rate increase as the city plans to wrap up renovations after flood damages. City Administrator Bruce Harrill said the estimated renovation cost is $85,000 and the Federal Emergency Management Agency will reimburse the city for $50,780 to bring the park to where it was before the flooding.
